Justin is a native of Aurora, Colorado and has been playing soccer in Colorado for over 24 years at various levels. Justin has such honors as 4 year soccer varsity player, team captain, All-Conference and All State First Team Awards and 1997 CHASA Soccer MVP at Smoky Hill High School, Aurora, CO (1994-1997). He was a part of the Colorado Olympic Development Program, and Region IV travel team (1993-1997) Taking honors as Golden Boot Award 1997, and Region IV ODP Champions. Played NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer at Metro State College, Denver, CO (1997- 1999) while attaining his undergraduate degree in Sports Marketing with a minor in Computer Science. Justin also played semi-professionally for the Denver Kickers, US Soccer Association, Denver, CO (2000- 2003).
His passion for the game then led him to coaching soccer teams of all ages for over 14 years. He currently holds a National “C” Coaching License though USSF and is a member of NSCAA. Justin was the Head Coach for various competitive Premier and Classic traveling teams through CSYSA in Colorado including the Colorado Storm, Colorado Rush, Denver Soccer Club, and Boulder County Force, while holding the position as Head Coach for Fairview High School Freshman/Sophomore Team.
During his stint at Boulder Indoor Soccer Arena, Justin became the Lead Instructor for the youth indoor soccer program, Assistant Coaching Director for the Boulder Rapids Reserve Youth Program, and a Staff Coach for the Rapids Reserve U-23 PDL/USL team. Currently the Assistant Men's Soccer coach at Cape Fear Community College, Wilmington NC.
Currently Justin is involved with developing and instructing the SoccerRoos Program in the greater Wilmington area and private lessons indoor and outdoor. Justin also enjoys playing indoor and outdoor soccer, snow boarding, and spending time with his wife Ellen and dog Wyatt.
